"I've always been an emotional eater, and the stresses of IVF treatment from August 2015 meant I ate, and ate, and ate. Pregnancy was a "free pass" to eat whatever I wanted, after all, I was eating for 2! I had my little girl in May 2016. So fast forward to late 2016, almost 4st heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight. I'd been a yo-yo dieter all my adult life. After realising that the mainstream slimming clubs weren't doing anything for me anymore, i started researching personal trainers, but was too nervous to join a gym. I was at my running club when a chance conversation with one of the girls there opened up the option of an online trainer, and she recommended Mike. I thought about it a bit more and then a week or so later, my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I jokingly said "a new body!". This spurred me on to join the VTS I was nervous about starting the programme but Mike and Nat have been really supportive, and the exercises were easy to follow. The food plan was also really easy to understand. I also learnt that I could eat less, more often and not be hungry, what a revelation! :). My relationship with food was always an emotional one, but VTS has taught me that I control it, not the other way round. I'm now exercising every day, even just small changes like parking a little further away from work means I can fit the exercise in. Now, at the end of this enrolment, I've lost more than SEVEN inches from my waist, and inches from my chest, glutes, biceps and thighs! And I feel lots better in myself.
